It's finally here! That time of year where we all march in support of fairness for workers. The first parade took place in December 1872, and on July 23, 1894, John Thompson delcared Labour Day an official holiday, making it the first Monday of September. Subsequent parades took place on this date with the modern parade being organized by the Toronto and York Region Labour Council. 144 years later we are keeping this tradition of unification strong, so let's get out there and show solidarity for one another.
